Structural Plans Check Based on 2006 IBC

Abstract: You know everything about the engineering theories and principles. You know everything about the codes and standards. And yet the plan check engineer picks on your design. Why? What do they look for? This seminar will present the views from the perspective of the Plan Check engineering professionals who work in a Building Department. It is based on the "2006 IBC Checklist - Structural Provisions" published by ICC. There will be a panel discussion at the end to share ideas, exchange views and discuss ways to improve the process.
