Aileen Santos-Redman is a Project Manager/Structural Lead Engineer for TYLin’s Los Angeles office, with over 27 years of experience in the design and construction of various building and infrastructure projects. Even after undergoing the 1994 Northridge earthquake firsthand as an engineering student at Cal State Northridge, Aileen earned her BS in Civil Engineering in 1995 and her MS in Structural Engineering in 1997. After years of working on a variety of building design projects, Aileen began working on infrastructure projects in 2009, and has since contributed to public works projects for the aviation, rail & transit, and transportation industries. In addition to her engineering work, Aileen is also an Ambassador for TYLin’s BUILD Task Force that promotes Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives within the company. In this capacity, she organizes her office’s community involvement efforts for the company’s annual “Building Bridges in the Community” (BBC) week. Aileen also participates in a number of outreach activities to promote STEM and encourage others to consider careers in engineering.
