Committee Mission & Charges

Women in Structural Engineering (WiSE) facilitates mentorship and leadership opportunities to enhance professional development and provide a forum to recognize the valuable contributions women and under-represented members make in the engineering industry.

Our goal is to build and promote a positive environment that supports the importance of maintaining a diverse talent base throughout the industry. With a focus on creating opportunities that cultivate the development of structural engineers, we aim to raise awareness of our impactful contributions to the profession.

Chairs

Fostering our mentoring initiatives, WiSE continues to enhance and support the mentorship program we spearheaded that has since become its own committee. To support our leadership goals, WiSE is constantly at work on our biannual Leadership Symposium, which in the past has included sessions on career-building, project management, employee engagement, empowering women, and much more. WiSE committee members are invited to our bi-monthly meetings, community service and outreach activities, and networking events to benefit from being part of a strong network of women leaders in our industry while making some great friendships along the way!
