Snehal Kadam is a licensed structural engineer and Los Angeles Structures Group Leader at HNTB Corporation, with 20 years of experience on a variety of iconic, large complex and challenging buildings-infrastructure projects across the country, from Sports, Aviation, Commercial to Transit. Through innovative solutions and commitment to quality work, she delivers projects that have differentiated her and has received numerous awards across the nation, including ENR California & Northwest Region 2022’s Top Young Professionals Under 40 and multiple SEAKM and AISC’s national IDEAS2 awards for her projects. Snehal believes in giving back and growing the profession by reaching out to youth by being mentor through programs such as ACE, various outreach activities to promote STEM such as her company's SPARK LA program at local GALA Girls academy and Schurr High schools. She was part of the Structural Engineering Association of Kansas and Missouri (SEAKM) where she held the positions of President and Director of board. After moving to Los Angeles in 2018, she joined SEAOSC and its WiSE committee. In 2022-2023 she held the position of SEAOSC WiSE committee's Leadership Symposium chair and the symposium was one of the most successful event of the year. For her efforts, dedicated volunteer service and outstanding contributions to SEAOSC, Snehal received the SEAOSC's Above & Beyond Presidential Certificate of Appreciation in 2023. “As WiSE committee’s Leadership Symposium chair, I want to empower people by learning soft skills in leadership, business management, mentoring and inclusivity to help support development, opportunities and connections for people at various stages of their career, so they can reach their full potentials and become successful leaders and managers. Together we can take a big step forward and set the foundation for a more diverse, inclusive, and successful future. My goal is to also increase SEAOSC’s membership, awareness, education outreach and participation in our events which will all help together to shape the better future of our Building codes and profession.”
